So our Memorial Day weekend was fun we...
* Went to Port Saint Lucie (PSL) to visit Derek's grandma, Joyce, and paint her bedroom.
* I discovered that I am no master painter.
* I caught up on reading because its PSL, and theres nothing to do there.
* We went to a BBQ at Jill and Chaz's, and I canceled a lesson so I could stay and get trashed... it was a good decision.
But the craziest part about the weekend was when we were on a supply/avoid cabin fever run to Home Depot in PSL. Here I am in the paint section looking at samples and dreaming of colors to paint my very own home when I look over and see someone I SWEAR I know. So I try to figure out who he is without blatantly staring, but I really am, and after a while he is too before I finally blurt out, "Where do I know you from?" and before he can even reply I knew his name, "Are you Kennith Lowe, PBHS class of 2004?" he replies, "Simone? What are you doing in the middle of nowhere?" And there it is. I ran into someone I graduated high school with while in PSL. Funny thing is, neither of us live there, I was there for Joyce and he was there to help his mom with fixing things in her new condo. So, it is a small world after all.
Random side note: Dell tried to deliver my new laptop yesterday but was unsuccessful b/c I was teaching lessons. That means today is the day, and I'm not leaving the house until I have my new laptop in my hands! Whooo Hoo!!!!
