They put the Dr in the hospital full time and haven't figured out who they're going to put in the office or when they're going to do it. In the mean time I am unemployed. Its super scary because I know there isn't much out there right now. I applied for some UCF jobs, some Florida Hospital jobs, and some random medical jobs online, and we'll just have to see where it goes from here.

All this just in time for my birthday, which p.s., is the first day I will be uninsured... again. Happy Freaking Birthday!

Magic Game

Sunday after the bridal show Derek and I went to our first Magic Game. One of the girls I babysit for went to a Magic Dancer's camp and was performing at the pregame show. She was told she could pick any 2 people outside of her family to see her perform and she choose Derek and I. We felt so loved!! It was a cool game because it was the mascot Stuff's birthday, so there was all sorts of stuff going on befor ethe game including free cupcakes (after my 15 pieces of cake at the wedding show... I think not). Sidney's performance was super cute, but I discovered something about basketball. It is the most boring sport on the planet. They even play music while the players are playing. Its like they know the game is boring so they hope you'll hang out for the musical sing along. Fortunately Ryan was able to entertain me (yes I just said a 5 year old kept me entertained). I had my camera with me from the day's events and I said, "Hey want to see what Miss Simone looks like in a wedding dress?" He was sold and we had a blast.

While there Sara and I decided it would be fun to try on wedding dresses, but unfortunately I fell in love with a perfect dress... too soon. It was originally $688 and it was marked down to $198. It fit perfectly. It only needed to have the bottom hemmed and the train removed (I don't want a train). I called Derek for a crazy check, and he informed me that its insane to buy a wedding dress when you're not engaged. Thank you Derek for putting my crazy ass in check. Well I'm a bit pouty about it, but maybe the dress and I will reunite another day, or maybe I'll find something even better.

Peace Out Cambridge!

The rumors are confirmed, we're moving!! Its a house off of Lake Pickett that my friend's mom owns and is renting to us for a great price. Derek will finally have a garage, but we will only have 1 bathroom and theres no dishwasher. I guess you have to give a little to get a little. The best part--Mel and Lori live near by. We were waivering on the place, but when we found out about our new neighbors, it was sold!! We're super stoked.

Gator Get Down in O-Town

This past weekend Derek and I participated in the Central Florida Gator Fan club's Gator Get Down in O-Town. It was super fun! For only $15 we got admission into 6 clubs and a free drink at each one. Our mission while there was to meet some childless friends who plan on remaining childless, at least for the time being. It was a success! We met some really fun people, plus we got to check out some new places. We went to:
Fin Henry's
The Lodge
Cheyenne Saloon
Big Belly Brewery
Latitudes
and we had a ticket to go to the Vintage lounge, but we never made it there.

There was an important lesson learned that night though. Just because you have 6 tickets for free drinks doesn't mean you should consume 6 drinks. Especially when you consider that the free drinks were all wells, and that the Lodge's wells could easily be compared to disinfectants. Needless to say I got completly wasted and spent a portion of my evening hugging my toilet. I may not remember every detail, but I had a blast!

Party Like a Rockstar

This year's Monster Truck Show was a balst! Sure it was missing a few familiar faces, and there were only 8 trucks, but it was still a great time. We parked in a new lot because the crazy church people thought it was ok to charge $25 to park when there was a ton of parking available at the stadium for $15... no. But our new lot was really cool. There was a big tailgate group that parked next to us. They had a smoker on a trailer, tailgate golf, that bean bag toss game, a ton of food, and a fun attitude. Plus, we brought along our friends and first time Monster Truck Show attendees (and this was their first all day tailgate too... craziness), Sara and Brodie. They were a ton of fun!

The best part though?

The competition. So there was this Rockstar tent in which scantily clad women were playing beer pong with random mullet sporting holey smile having hill billies, and to the side there was a large basin FULL of FREE Rockstar energy drinks. Their mistake? It was not monitored. The first trip I took as many as I could carry... then I got smart. I emptied my purse out and filled it up and then worked my way up to a resuable walmart bag. After several trips I boasted to our tailgating neighbors that I had 42 cans of Rockstar. Then our friend made a fatal mistake. He said, "Ooo, so then 42 is the number to beat." Now we all know that I am incapable of losing at feats of ridiculousness. So I made 2 more trips and aquired a total of 65 cans of Rockstar, which slammed his 44 that he scrounged up. If you add that with what Sara collected its well over 130 cans of Rockstar... sweet.

So, in case you missed it there were the hilights, and of course you can always check out the photos on my Flickr.
