Thank you, Thank you very much

So life has been crazy! I got a new job, I quit my new job, I'm planning my wedding only to find out that I planned it for next Easter weekend and now I have to move it, I'm starting swim lessons again next week, ... the list could go on forever.

My bridesmaid's and I went wedding dress shopping Memorial day weekend, and much to my dismay, I forgot my camera. I then had my first Bridezilla moment demanding that we get some sort of "real camera" because those "phone pieces of crap cameras take shitty pictures and this is important." My sister, being the awesome maid of honor that she is, went next door to BJs with my membership card and got some disposables, hense the "wonderful" quality. Bridezilla moment over. Anywho, I ended up finding the perfect dress, but not without trying on some duds including this one with an Elvis collar... HILARIOUS!!

In other news I was looking up non religious wedding vows and stumbled across this title:
Non-monogamous Wedding Vows

Wow. They actually have those. Good luck to the people who use them... they'll need it.

Back to more wedding planning craziness!

ps- I am in the process of creatign a wedding website and wedding Flickr. More details and a link will be emailed/posted... when I'm ready! lol

Wedding Planning is REALLY hard!

So you've all heard it... heck, you all were there! Derek and I got engaged on April 4th at Derek's Beerlympics party. So now we're in the planning process of a fabulous beach wedding, and while it can get stressful, planning a beach wedding has its perks! =) Perk number 1. I got to try out this new suit (and this pic got 191 views after being uploaded for less than 48 hours). Perk number 2 I got some sun... on the downside I neglected to put sunscreen on the part of my butt that was not covered by my suit, and as a result I have a partially red tush. Oops!

So we're hoping to get married on the beach but we're not sure whether we want to have it on New Smyrna or Cocoa, so we decided to do a little research. =) It was a fun day and we got a lot of info, so now its time to use that info to plan, plan, plan!

In other news, I ran my first 5k this past weekend in my best time ever- 28:07! It was really awesome.

So let the rumors be confirmed. I am unemployed. The doctors office I was working for officially got bought out by Florida Hospital. They put the Dr in the hospital full time and haven't figured out who they're going to put in the office or when they're going to do it. In the mean time I am unemployed. Its super scary because I know there isn't much out there right now. I applied for some UCF jobs, some Florida Hospital jobs, and some random medical jobs online, and we'll just have to see where it goes from here.

All this just in time for my birthday, which p.s., is the first day I will be uninsured... again. Happy Freaking Birthday!

F***!

Magic Game

Sunday after the bridal show Derek and I went to our first Magic Game. One of the girls I babysit for went to a Magic Dancer's camp and was performing at the pregame show. She was told she could pick any 2 people outside of her family to see her perform and she choose Derek and I. We felt so loved!! It was a cool game because it was the mascot Stuff's birthday, so there was all sorts of stuff going on befor ethe game including free cupcakes (after my 15 pieces of cake at the wedding show... I think not). Sidney's performance was super cute, but I discovered something about basketball. It is the most boring sport on the planet. They even play music while the players are playing. Its like they know the game is boring so they hope you'll hang out for the musical sing along. Fortunately Ryan was able to entertain me (yes I just said a 5 year old kept me entertained). I had my camera with me from the day's events and I said, "Hey want to see what Miss Simone looks like in a wedding dress?" He was sold and we had a blast.

While there Sara and I decided it would be fun to try on wedding dresses, but unfortunately I fell in love with a perfect dress... too soon. It was originally $688 and it was marked down to $198. It fit perfectly. It only needed to have the bottom hemmed and the train removed (I don't want a train). I called Derek for a crazy check, and he informed me that its insane to buy a wedding dress when you're not engaged. Thank you Derek for putting my crazy ass in check. Well I'm a bit pouty about it, but maybe the dress and I will reunite another day, or maybe I'll find something even better.
